Dr. Kruml has been teaching management and consulting for more than fifteen years.  Prior to that, she spent approximately twelve years managing operations in the direct mail industry.  Her research interests include emotions in organizations with a particular focus in emotional intelligence and workplace success.  Dr. Kruml recieved her undergraduate business and MBA degrees from the University of South Dakota and her Ph.D. in Human Resource Management/Organizational Behavior from Temple University.

Education & Employment:
Dr. Brown earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Accounting from Freed-Hardeman University in 1979, his MBA (Management) from Pepperdine University along with his CPA in 1984, and his Ph.D. in Accountancy-Taxation from the University of Mississippi in 1994.  Dr. Brown has over twenty years of teaching experience.  He has also held other positions such as an accountant for Haynes & Jackson CPAs (Memphis), Internal Auditor for Pepperdine University, as well as owning his own business.

Dr. Brown has the following recent publications:

Professional Activities:
He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, the Tennessee CPA Society, the Institute of Management Accountants, the American Accounting Association, and the American Taxation Association. Dr. Brown has even offered his expertise to the general public. He volunteered his accounting students to participate in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) that offers free assistance in filing federal and state tax returns.

Education:
Mr. Chamblin obtained his B.S. in Business Administration from Millikin University in 1957 and also an M.B.A from the University of Illinois at Springfield in 1999.  He is also a graduate of the challenging American Bankers Association School at Southern Illinois University.

Professional Activities:
Along with his extreme dedication as a Millikin faculty member, Mr. Chamblin is also a Certified Public Accountant. He was a founder and partner of a local public accounting firm before coming to Millikin University and has recently broadened his expertise by becoming a board member for and Chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee for the Illinois Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. He is also serving as the Vice President of the Springfield Chapter of the Illinois Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Education & Employment:
Accelerating Entrepreneurship in Central Illinois was directed by Sharon T. Alpi. She teaches the senior seminar for the entrepreneurship curriculum and was one of three Millikin professors to develop the Art of Entrepreneurship program at Millikin. Sharon also works with the Coleman Foundation's Council for Entrepreneurship Awareness and was recently named to the board of the Self-Employment in the Arts Conference.

Awards:
She is a recipient of Millikin's Teaching Excellence and Campus Leadership Award and, in 2001, received the Governor of Illinois' Small Business Award for Women in Business Advocate of the Year. In 2004, she was named a Coleman Foundation Professor in Entrepreneurship, joining 11 other named professors from around the country.

Professional Activities:
In 2001, she organized a team of investors in the creation of a venture fund, InDecatur Ventures, LLC and was the featured presenter for “Listening to your Business” workshop at Olivet Nazarene for the Kankakee Area Entrepreneurs on September 14, 2005. She attended a Leadership Illinois conference titled “Power of Marketplace” during September 27-29 in Chicago, Illinois and was selected to join the Class of 2005 Leadership Illinois. This competent group brings together a diverse group of very accomplished women who focus on educating, energizing, and enlightening women leaders in Illinois.

During January 4-15, she broadened her expertise by taking part in a two-semester project that looked at the effect of health trends in Mexico on the eating habits of the population. She has also recently returned from Seoul, Korea where she explored new opportunities for student projects.

Dr. Chamblin obtained her B.B.A. from Marshall University and her M.S. and D.A. from Illinois State University.  Dr. Chamblin’s research interest is economics education, specifically in using a variety of pedagogies to teach the principles of economics courses. She has published several articles in a variety of teaching and education journals. Additionally, Dr. Chamblin has made numerous presentations on topics related to her research at state, regional and national levels. She has been actively involved in honors organizations, serving as President of the Upper Midwest Honors Council and Executive Secretary/Treasurer of the Honors Council of the Illinois Region. She has co-edited and written pieces for "A Monograph on Teaching and Learning in Honors" a publication of the National Collegiate Honors Council. Her hobbies include scuba diving, biking, camping and traveling to interesting places like Australia and Great Britain.

Dr. Isakovski obtained her B.S. from The University of the State of New York, Albany, NY, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA. Dr. Isakovski’s research interests are Corporate Finance, Investments, Behavioral Finance, Economics, and financial education. Additionally, Dr. Isakovski has an interest in cognitive psychology and its applications to research and teaching. Her hobbies include hiking, horseback riding, and yoga.

Dr. Liberatore obtained his Bachelor's degree from the University of New England and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Connecticut.  Dr. Liberatore is the Grover M. Herman Chair in Management Development and the Director of the Tabor School MBA program.  He is a Board member of Illini Corporation - a bank holding company - and is president of Quality By Design, Ltd., a management development company. Dr. Liberatore consults widely on issues of management and leadership development.

RJ Podeschi received his B.S. in Management of Information Systems from Millikin in 2002, followed by an MBA in 2004.  Before taking up teaching, he spent 11 years in the Millikin IT department, first as a database analyst, then a developer, and finally as the Senior Database Administrator and Team Leader. During that time, he also co-founded an IT consulting firm in Central Illinois serving small businesses and non-profit organizations.

Prof. Podeschi began working as an adjunct faculty member in 2007, teaching classes on Oracle Database Administration and structuring information systems.  He was brought on full-time in 2012, and expanded his teaching to include courses in Java development, data mining, information security, web development, and networking/telecommunications.  He brings a wealth of real-world experience to the table, along with a long career in the world of higher education. RJ can be found tinkering in the off hours building servers and experimenting with new technologies.

In addition to his work at Millikin, RJ is a director at Staley Credit Union, a race director for Penguin in the Park 5K, and is an active member of Sharon United Methodist Church.

Dr. J. Mark Munoz teaches International Business, International Management, International Business Consulting, International Immersion Program (for MBA's) and Introduction to Business at the Tabor School of Business at Millikin University.

Dr. Munoz earned his MBA and PhD in Management at the University of San Jose. He is a former Visiting Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He worked for over 15 years in management capacities with international companies (i.e., Shell in Asia, Kerametal in Europe, and NFO Worldgroup in the USA). His career and business experiences were in sales, marketing, marketing research, business development, and management consulting. He lived, traveled, and conducted business in most parts of the world and speaks 5 languages/dialects.

Actively involved in the international business community, he serves as member of the Board of Directors for two foreign firms, and facilitates international consulting and finance for companies in emerging markets.

His dedication to research has led to international recognition. Dr. Munoz is a three time recipient of the "Best Research Paper Award" in international conferences. He is published in several academic and business journals such as: International Journal of Management, Journal of Global Business and Technology, International Education Journal, International Journal for Contemporary Hospitality Management, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship, and Management Decision.

A dynamic academic supporter and contributor, he is a member of the Editorial Board of two international journals: the Journal for International Business and Entrepreneurship Development, and International Journal of Management Entrepreneurship.

In addition, he presented numerous papers in international business conferences such as International Council for Small Business (ICSB) 48th World Conference (Ireland), Third International Conference on Knowledge, Culture, and Change in Organizations (Malaysia), International Conference of the Global Business and Technology Association (South Africa), Academy for Global Business Advancement, 2nd World Congress (India) United States Association for Small Business Executives (USASBE) Conference in (CA, USA), Academy of International Business (AIB) Southeast Asia Regional Conference (Philippines), 5th Global Conference on Business and Economics, Cambridge University (London, UK), Academy of Management Conference 2006 (Atlanta, GA), Conference on the Globalization of Chinese Enterprises, Harvard University (Boston, MA), and the Academy of Global Business Advancement, 9th World Congress (Dubai, UAE) among others.

Dr. Munoz is a multi-awarded professor. He was awarded a Literary/Cultural Excellence Award for the book Land of My Birth (2006); Teaching Excellence Award (2007); Research and Artistic Achievement Award (2008); Academy of Global Business Advancement (AGBA) Distinguished Scholar (2012); and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Teaching Excellence Award (2013) and the Academy of Global Business Advancement (AGBA) Distinguished Scholar (2012). He is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.

Known as a prolific writer, aside from several management book chapters, he authored books such as: Land of My Birth (socio-political critique of the Philippines), Winning Across Borders - with Marios Katsioloudes (35-country study on the impact of globalization on contemporary business), In Transition (immigrant life in America), A Salesman in Asia (cross-cultural sales and management strategies for China, India, and the Asia-Pacific), Handbook on Business Plan Creation“ with Anthony Liberatore (model for simplified business plan writing), International Social Entrepreneurship (internationalization strategies for socially-driven enterprises), and Contemporary Microenterprise: Concepts and Cases (survival and success strategies of very small business units).

He is currently working on three books: Handbook on the Geopolitics of Business (Edward Elgar Publishing), African-American Entrepreneurship: Profiles and Viewpoints - with Michelle Spain (Business Expert Press), and Hispanic-Latino Entrepreneurship: Profiles and Viewpoints “ with Michelle Spain (Business Expert Press).

Dr. Stapleton is an Associate Professor in the Tabor School of Business at Millikin University, Decatur, IL. Dr. Stapleton has been a Millikin faculty member since 2001 teaching courses in Operations Management, Principles of Management and Introduction to Business.

Prior to Millikin, Dr. Stapleton spent 20+ years in the aerospace and construction equipment industries with such companies as McDonnell-Douglas, Boeing and Ingersoll-Rand.  He has held various technical and managerial positions in engineering, strategic planning, international co-production, project management and strategic sourcing.

Dr. Stapleton obtained a B.S. in Applied Science from Miami University, an MBA from Chapman University, and a PhD in Decision Science with a minor in International Business from St. Louis University.

Dr. Stapleton’s areas of academic interest include E-procurement, flexible manufacturing systems, quality systems for small/medium enterprises and ISO 9000 systems.  He serves as the Community College Liaison for the Tabor School of Business, the faculty advisor for Tau Kappa Epsilon (Beta Chapter).

His outside interests include Harleys, Golf, and Habitat for Humanity.

Dennis Schwieger is a Visiting Professor at Millikin University, teaching entrepreneurship and marketing to undergraduates and MBA students. He retired in 2008 from industry following a career in international business.

Dennis began his career with as a mechanical engineer and moved into marketing and general management.  He and his family spent over 16 years overseas with various companies and he directed overseas operations for these companies after returning to the United States.

His global view of business has made good use of his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (University of Missouri – Rolla) and his Master’s degree in Business from the University of Northern Iowa.  He has been on the BOD and President of various companies and industry associations.

Dr. Pettus obtained his Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from Millikin University and his M.B.A and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois.

Professional Activities:
Dr. Pettus serves on the Tabor School MBA Advisory Group and recently served as a judge to the Illinois DECA State Career Development Conference.

Scholarship:
Michael has had many papers published including “A Survey of the Literature on the Marketing of the North American Railroad Industry” and “Game Theory and Collective Bargaining.”

Carrie S. Trimble is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Tabor School of Business. She earned a B.S. of Advertising from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1995 and an M.A. of Communication from University of Illinois at Springfield in 1998 before completing her Ph.D. in Mass Media at Michigan State University in 2007.

Students can usually find Professor Trimble teaching Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior and Advertising.  While known to be a bit picky about grammar, spelling, punctuation, and citation, she also tries to keep her class presentations full of contemporary examples and energy.

Professor Trimble’s research agenda focuses on understanding and improving cause-related marketing, but she always professes a curiosity about new media technologies and emerging markets.

In addition to her teaching and scholastic endeavors, Professor Trimble is a member of the American Academy of Advertising and the Marketing Management Association, currently serving as an officer until 2015.

Professor Trimble has held previous teaching appointments at Illinois Wesleyan University and Drury University but is glad to be back home in Illinois where she can root for her beloved Fighting Illini.

Julienne Shields obtained her B.A in Classics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and her M.B.A from Millikin University. Prior to joining Millikin, she spearheaded the transformation of summer school in Decatur from a traditional format to a progressive, experiential model. She spent 11 years in the technology industry during which time she worked for a regional consulting company and owned two technology start-up businesses which shared intellectual property with the University of Illinois. She lives on a historic farm property east of Decatur with her husband, four children, and co-manages a non-profit farm for youth to learn about horses and organic farming.
