mmentkowski3Dr. Marcia Mentkowski is currently Senior Scholar for Educational Research and Professor Emerita, Psychology at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Mentkowski received her BA from Downer College of Lawrence University and her MA and PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Educational Psychology. She has taught undergraduates, masters, and doctoral candidates at the University of Toledo. She has developed curriculum for her peers from around the world at Alverno College. She was invited as a visiting scholar and on the graduate faculty of Harvard University in 1975, and was invited by The University of Oxford as a visiting fellow in 2003. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and a Fellow of the American Educational Research Association. Dr. Mentkowski is currently editing a book with Paul Wimmers of the University of California Los Angeles Medical School titled: Assessing Competence in Professional Performance Across Disciplines and Professions.
