A Message from the Chair
Welcome to the Department of Modern Languages at Millikin University!
We offer classes in Spanish, French and Italian, with the option of majoring or minoring in Spanish, and minoring in French.
Our main goal is to help students to master the four basic skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. We also aid students in developing an appreciation for the culture, literature and fine arts of foreign countries. We strive to make it possible for every student to receive the best quality education, trying to maintain a small class size to allow each student individual attention.
I invite you to come to Millikin University and enjoy the many ways we have of helping the students to have a good command of a foreign language. Today, more than ever before, it is essential that to have success in any field, one must know a foreign language. Consider taking courses in language, business, theatre, literature, etc. What about taking a class in Argentina, Chile or the Dominican Republic? Come with us, and you will have one of the best experiences you could ever imagine!
