Dr. Stapleton is an Associate Professor in the Tabor School of Business at Millikin University, Decatur, IL. Dr. Stapleton has been a Millikin faculty member since 2001 teaching courses in Operations Management, Principles of Management and Introduction to Business.
Prior to Millikin, Dr. Stapleton spent 20+ years in the aerospace and construction equipment industries with such companies as McDonnell-Douglas, Boeing and Ingersoll-Rand. He has held various technical and managerial positions in engineering, strategic planning, international co-production, project management and strategic sourcing.
Dr. Stapleton obtained a B.S. in Applied Science from Miami University, an MBA from Chapman University, and a PhD in Decision Science with a minor in International Business from St. Louis University.
Dr. Stapleton’s areas of academic interest include E-procurement, flexible manufacturing systems, quality systems for small/medium enterprises and ISO 9000 systems. He serves as the Community College Liaison for the Tabor School of Business, the faculty advisor for Tau Kappa Epsilon (Beta).
His outside interests include Harleys, Golf, and Habitat for Humanity.
