“For
me, the New Musicals program is the number one asset that sets Millikin
University apart from other theatre programs across the country. The
process of helping up-and-coming composing teams create new work is
unlike any other I have ever experienced. Not only did this program help
me hone valuable musical and acting skills, it also helped me to
develop priceless connections with writers that are the future of the
musical theatre (not to mention added great credits to my resume). To
any student who thinks he or she cannot gain valuable theatre
connections and credits in a place like Decatur, Illinois, I urge him or
her to take full advantage of the unique opportunity provided through
the New Musicals program."

“New Musicals did
more for me than anything I could ever ask for at Millikin. It is the
single most important experience an a artist could have moving into the
industry, especially in New York City. I would not be able to get the
work I am getting without the experience of the program plus the
connections and networking that came from it. New Musicals will give you
first-hand experience of what it's like to be working in the city
before you even graduate."
