Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre is Millikin's student-run theatre company producing 21st Century Works by Millikin University students, faculty, and alumni, in addition to mounting student directed productions and events. BFA Theatre Administration students receive practical experience in all aspects of running a theatre including scheduling a season; facility and resource management; employee hiring, training, management, and motivation; audience outreach; and more. B.A. Theatre students explore different aspects of the theatre including dramaturgy, script writing, technology integration, management, and other skills for experimentation.BFA Design/Production students have the ability to create new mediums and alter their typical role in productions. Performance majors act, sing and dance in different styles and techniques. Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre is open to all majors outside of theatre, especially the Tabor School of Business, allowing theatre students to receive support and training in marketing, finance and accounting. Students are granted the option of altering the procedures of the facility in order to create a more successful venue, testing the relationship between artists, management and the audience. Students interested in running Pipe Dreams can do so through enrollment in Millikin University's Arts & Entrepreneurship Program.
