The Millikin High School Honor Band is comprised of the best area high school students, nominated for participation by their directors. Nominations are due by September 13, 2013. To nominate students, please email Dr. Gary Shaw

Please nominate up to 5 students and include student's instrument, year in school, participation in District and All-State Festivals, solo and ensemble or other similar honors.
The Honor Band will rehearse from 9 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013. Student accepted must be available for the entire day. The Honor Band will be conducted by Dr. Gary Shaw and Dr. Neal Smith. Student participation fee is $15. Lunch at the Millikin cafeteria is included.

The High School Band Festival is a non competitive event for high school bands. Each band performs for 20 minutes on the Kirkland Fine Arts Center stage and then receives a clinic with one of our adjudicators. The Millikin Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Gary Shaw, will perform for all students at 12:30 p.m.
