SAVE THE DATE! Millikin University's 8th Annual All-State String Seminar will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Bring your best students to join with those from other high schools around the state to jump-start their audition preparation. The All-State String Seminar provides an opportunity for students to work with Millikin's String and Orchestra faculty on the IMEA audition music. Activities will include a string rehearsal of Tchaikowsky's Symphony No. 4: Finale, sight-reading of recent string orchestra publications, sectional rehearsals, clinics, mock auditions, and at the end of the day a full-orchestra reading of the piece with members of Millikin's Symphonic Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Michael Luxner, conductor of the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra.
