What you need to know:
* The test consists of four subareas:
Reading Comprehension, Language Arts, Mathematics,
and Writing.
* Most students need multiple attempts to pass all subareas.
* The test can be taken as many as five times.
* Once a subarea is passed, the score is "banked."
Only the subareas not passed must be repeated.
* Both paper-based testing and computer-based
testing are available.
* Test results are good for ten years.
