PACE Get-Together in Champaign – Friday, March 9, 7 p.m. 

Location: Destihl (301 N. Neil St., Champaign)

Bring your friends and family to join fellow PACE students from the Parkland campus in Champaign for appetizers provided by the PACE Program at Destihl Restaurant & Brew Works.  This event is family friendly. 

ASL Induction Ceremony – Wednesday, March 21, 6 p.m.

Location: Lower Level of Richards Treat University Center, East Room

Alpha Sigma Lambda is a national honor society for adult students.  Criteria for membership in Alpha Sigma Lambda includes the number of courses taken at Millikin University, grade point average, full-time enrollment, and percentile class standing.  The Phi Delta chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda’s Induction Ceremony is a time to honor the outstanding scholarship of PACE students.  This event is by invitation only. 

Parent’s Night Out – Friday, March 23, 6-8 p.m.

Location: Children’s Museum of Illinois

You deserve a night off!  Drop the kids off at the Children’s Museum of Illinois where they will enjoy stories, activities, crafts, and play.  This event is open to children ages 3 (potty-trained)-12. NOTE: After completing the online registration process, please complete this form and submit it to the PACE office prior to Friday, March 23rd. (Payment information on the form does not need to be completed as this will be handled by the PACE Program.)

City Museum Trip – Saturday, March 31, 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

*Registration closes Friday, March 16th at noon. Cancellation policy applies.

Location: Bus departs from the Kirkland Parking Lot

Join the PACE Program on a trip to the City Museum in St. Louis.  We’ll provide the transportation and admission for you and your family.  All you have to worry about is having a great time!  Additionally, every person signed up to go will receive a t-shirt.  Space is limited and each student may only bring 3 guests (unless otherwise approved).

Springfest/Sibs Weekend – Friday-Sunday, April 13-15

Location: Millikin Campus

Springfest is an annual Millikin event that will take place during Sibs Weekend this year.  Movies, games, activities, and a Carnival-themed day for the whole family are some of the highlights. 

PACE Get-Together in Decatur – Friday, April 27, 7 p.m.

Location: Lock Stock & Barrel

Bring your friends and family to join fellow PACE students for appetizers provided by the PACE Program at Lock Stock & Barrel.  This event is family friendly.

Afternoon Family Movie – The Smurfs - Saturday, May 12, 2:30 p.m.

Location: Leighty Tabor Science Center, Room 001

Back by popular demand!  Bring the whole family to a matinee on Millikin’s campus.  Enjoy free popcorn, soda, and snacks.   PACE students will vote for the movie they'd like to see on Facebook.  Those bringing children are strongly encouraged to RSVP so we can make sure we have enough goodies!

Graduate Reception/Outstanding PACE Graduate Award – Wednesday, May 16, 6:30 p.m.

Location: Kirkland Fine Arts Center Perkinson Gallery

Immediately following Commencement rehearsal, join your fellow [soon-to-be] graduates for hors d'oeuvres and the presentation of the Outstanding PACE Graduate Award.  This event is for graduating seniors and their guests only.

Peoria Chiefs Game – Sunday, June 10, 11:30 a.m.

*Registration required by Friday, May 25th at noon. Cancellation policy applies.

Location: Bus departs from Westminster Presbyterian Church

There isn’t a better way to commemorate the end of the semester and the beginning of summer than a baseball game!  The PACE Program is going to see the Peoria Chiefs take on the Kane County Cougars.  Each guest that signs up will receive a t-shirt, transportation to the game, and a ticket that includes an all-you-can-eat buffet of traditional ballpark fare.  Space is limited for this one too, so each student may only bring 3 guests (unless otherwise approved).  Register early so you don’t miss out!
