Semester-Long Exchange Programs

Millikin Offers numerous options for students wishing to spend a semester abroad!

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Junior standing
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Be in good academic & financial standing

Cost

  • MU tuition - financial aid package will stay the same
  • Host country's room and board
  • The typical cost of a semester abroad is $5,000-$7,000 out of pocket

Exchange Locations

Some of the previous exchange locations include Belgium, Chile, Denmark, Frane, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, and many more. 

Application Deadlines

  • SPRING SEMESTER - October 30
  • FALL SEMESTER - March 30

Tuition-free exchange programs

With tuition-free exchange programs,  you pay regular MU Tuition and your host country's room and board.  All of your financial aid from MU transfers with you to your host university.  Millikin has developed partnerships with over 30 universities in more than 15 countries around the world to allow students to participate in our tuition-free exchange program. Each partner was strategically selected based on their alignment with Millikin programs and courses.  This means that, in most cases, your credits are guaranteed to transfer back to MU and will keep you on track for graduating on time.

Universities in Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Chile, China, Cuba, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, South Korea, Spain and Taiwan all offer MU students Tuition-Free Exchange programs.

Discounted programs

For students with a different destination in mind, Millikin also offers discounted programs through Webster University, John Cabot University, and Arcadia University.  Each university offers discounts and scholarship opportunities for MU students up to 30%.  Keep in mind, that with discounted programs, you are responsible for pay MU Tuition, plus the difference in tuition price for the university you chose to travel with. 

Universities in Switzerland, Thailand, Greece, Florence, Rome, Africa, Asia, and Turkey are available through these Discounted Programs.

Third party providers

For students hoping to explore a specific program in a specific location that MU does not have an agreement with, 3rd party providers offer that opportunity.  However, no Millikin aid can be used towards the payment of these programs.
