On behalf of the Tabor School of Business, welcome to Millikin University.
The Tabor School is highly committed to be a learning partner with our students, colleagues, and community. We pride ourselves on fostering an entrepreneurial spirit that embodies Millikin’s commitment to professional success, a life of personal meaning, and global citizenship.
We expect our students to leave Millikin University with strong discipline knowledge, real-world experience, and a liberal arts foundation. With considerable personal attention to each student, we offer a complete business school curriculum. Our programs are accredited by ACBSP, and we offer undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, and a 4-½ year dual-degree program in International Business. We also offer an MBA program and an evening accounting program for working adults. We are proud of our students’ personal and professional success.
With a 98% job placement rate in the students’ field of study, the Tabor school has a reputation for graduates hitting the ground running. In part, this is due to our commitment to hands-on learning. For the ‘06’ graduates, 93% completed an internship and/or did consulting for a business, including international consulting. Tabor graduates solve real business problems before they graduate. Our intensive, 18 month, MBA program is leadership-focused, results-oriented. MBA students develop essential business skills and demonstrate these with hands-on projects. Our MBA is designed to serve the leadership development needs of our community. We are proud to be a valued partner by the business and non-profit communities.
With our nationally recognized entrepreneurship programs, we are a resource to the local community and the State of Illinois. Our Center for Entrepreneurship serves as a learning laboratory for our students and offers business assistance to our community. The Center coordinates our successful internship program and provides opportunities for students to work with businesses one-on-one or in teams. Many prominent businessmen and women work with our students, serve as classroom speakers, or teach a class.
Our Center is home to SCORE, an organization of executives dedicated to providing consultation to small businesses. The Center also is part of the Illinois Entrepreneurship Network, providing educational opportunities and facilitating state grant funding for growing entrepreneurs in central Illinois.
Please explore our programs. If you would like to learn more about our programs from the faculty or our students, we can certainly arrange a visit or conversation.
