Bio:


Carrie S. Trimble is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Tabor School of Business. She earned a B.S. of Advertising from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1995 and an M.A. of Communication from University of Illinois at Springfield in 1998 before completing her Ph.D. in Mass Media at Michigan State University in 2007.

 

Students can usually find Professor Trimble teaching Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior and Advertising.  While known to be a bit picky about grammar, spelling, punctuation, and citation, she also tries to keep her class presentations full of contemporary examples and energy.

 

Professor Trimble’s research agenda focuses on understanding and improving cause-related marketing, but she always professes a curiosity about new media technologies and emerging markets.

 

In addition to her teaching and scholastic endeavors, Professor Trimble is a member of the American Academy of Advertising and the Marketing Management Association, currently serving as an officer until 2015.

 

Professor Trimble has held previous teaching appointments at Illinois Wesleyan University and Drury University but is glad to be back home in Illinois where she can root for her beloved Fighting Illini.
