Millikin University's accreditation self-study team is led be a a small group of leaders from every area of the university.

Leaders from the sub-committees will serve as the Accreditation Steering Committee to provide oversight and direction for all sub-committees.

The Accreditation Steering Committee

A small group of strong leaders from the sub-committees will serve as the Accreditation Steering Committee to provide oversight and direction for all sub-committees.

The Subcommittee on Mission and Integrity (Criterion 1)

This sub-committee will study and write a report on how well “The organization operates with integrity to ensure the fulfillment of its mission through structures and processes that involve the board, administration, faculty, staff, and students.”

Core components of this part of the study include:

1B. mission recognizes diversity
1C. mission is understood & supported throughout organization
1D. mission is fulfilled through effective leadership (governance and administrative structures)
1E. integrity of the organization is upheld & protected

The Subcommittee on Preparing for the Future (Criterion 2)

This sub-committee will study and write a report on how well “The organization’s allocation of resources and its process for evaluation and planning demonstrate its capacity to fulfill its mission, improve the quality of its education, and respond to future challenges and opportunities.” [strategic planning & capacity]

Core components of this part of the study include:
2A. realistically prepares for future
2B. resource base supports programs and is considered in plans to maintain and strengthen their quality in the future
2C. assessment processes inform strategies for continuous improvement
2D. planning aligns with the organization’s mission

5B. organization has the capacity and the commitment to engage with its identified constituencies and communities
