Site: Walt Whitman Hypertext Archive
Web Author: Kenneth M. Price and Ed Folsom
URL: http://jefferson.village.virginia.edu/whitman/
The Walt Whitman Hypertext Archive by Kenneth M. Price and Ed Folsom at the University of Virginia is a highly useful resource for teachers, students, and Whitman scholars alike (in fact it has separate introductions and tips for each of these audiences). The archive itself contains biographical material, hypertexts to Whitman's work, manuscripts, notebooks, letters, and reviews. All of these materials are easily accessed. In addition the site contains a portrait gallery, current bibliography, pedagogy tips, and a search engine. The one drawback of the site is that it does not contain extensive external links.
