Site: N. Scott Momaday
Web Author: Kenneth M. Roemer
URL: http://www.english.uiuc.edu/maps/poets/m_r/momaday/momaday.htm
This site is prepared and compiled by Kenneth M Roemer and is part of the modern American Poets website (sponsored by the Department of English, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). Although this site primarily focuses on Momaday's poetry, it is the most comprehensive site on the author and is aimed at a college audience. The site includes information on biographical, literary, and multicultural contexts, as well as brief analyses of poems and examples of shield paintings by Momaday and by 19th-Century Native Americans. The Site is easy to navigate and provides a useful model for how one might read Momaday's work in a Plains Indian context.
