The American Transcendental Web, housed at Virginia Commonwealth University, offers multiple resources for instructors and students on Emerson, Thoreau, Fuller and others figures of the American Transcendental movement, along with extensive background and supporting materials.  Important resources include a detailed explication and analysis of what transcendentalism is and a warehouse of multiple e-texts of important works in transcendentalism. Within this compilation of primary sources are "web-texts," or annotated versions of a text that seem especially useful for students.    There are also detailed biographies of major and minor figures and sections on education, religion and reform within the context of transcendentalism.  A detailed bibliography and links to numerous other sites on transcendentalism help assure that this is one of the premier virtual learning spaces on this topic
