| This site presents a number of frame-based study texts, created by Woodlief and her students, intended to help students work through a close re-reading of a number of American literature texts commonly taught. Works by Bradstreet, Wheatley, Bryant, Emerson, Thoreau, Poe, Melville, Dickinson, Chopin, Gilman, HD, Welty and O'Connor are offered at this time; Emerson's "Nature" solicits further contributions to the hypertext notes from readers. Copyrighted works are necessarily password protected, but can be accessed with permission from Woodlief. |
