CRITICAL REPORT OF PUBLISHED WORK

You may work with a partner or group of three if you choose.  In that case, group members will all receive the same grade for the critical paper/presentation.

Guidelines:
You (or your group) will prepare a 3-4 page essay on one work (sophisticated literature) of a recently published author and present your report to the class (7-10 minutes; see schedule for presentation dates). To complete the project, you (or group) will

  2. Discussion of specific techniques that make the piece sophisticated or good. Illustrate your analysis with representative examples from the selection and make connections between this selection and other published pieces, if appropriate.  This section is the "meat" of the paper.
  3. Works cited. Follow MLA format for proper documentation and include a works cited page if you use outside sources.
  4. Option: you may create a web page report instead of a print report for this assignment if you choose.
