Millikin University's

athletic booster club
The mission of the Big Blue Club is to bring together the University and those persons who believe in the promotion and support of intercollegiate athletics and the student-athlete at Millikin University. The club shall function collaboratively with the athletic department and the alumni and development office in promoting Millikin athletics and fostering fundraising efforts to support the overall athletic program.
Everyone interested in Millikin athletics is invited to join the Big Blue Club. Activities are coordinated by an advisory board of Club members and University staff. Membership dues constitute a gift to Millikin University and are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. Big Blue Club benefits
Participants in the Big Blue Club will receive regular newsletters with inside news about the athletic teams, as well as reserved seating at all home football and men's and women's basketball games. A variety of group activities, including a Big Blue reception at Homecoming, also are planned each year. Participants will also be invited to special events held in conjunction with appearances by Big Blue athletic teams in cities and venues throughout the country.
Where your money goes
The Big Blue Club was created to benefit Millikin student-athletes in 21 intercollegiate sports and related activities. Gifts to the Big Blue Club provide additional support above the university's athletic budget, fund the administrative costs for the club, and underwrite special projects which might otherwise go unfunded. Over the years, some of the special items the club has provided include:
- new oak trophy case for Mills Hall Athletic Lounge (pictured above)
- new wall mounted display cases in Mills Athletic Hall and Griswold Center
- new CCIW member-school banners for Griswold Center gymnasium
- new blue and white pennants ringing Frank M. Lindsay Field and grandstands
- Big Blue spirit car flags for graduating seniors
- new, padded logo chairs for basketball and volleyball teams
- new infield tarp for baseball and softball
- Millikin logo rain ponchos for all athletes
We urge you to support all of our athletes by giving to the Big Blue Club. If you wish to support a particular sport or team, please note your wishes on your check when enrolling and sending your membership dues.
