HOW DO I USE MILLI-LINK XP?

Here’s how to access Milli-Link XP, our online alumni e-mail directory, to confirm and change your personal profile information, choose your privacy options, and search for alumni classmates:

1. Go to Millikin’s alumni website at www.millikin.edu/alumni/

2. Click on Milli-Link XP and then click on User Login.

3. On the User Login page, type your User ID (this number was listed at the top of a letter you should have received about Milli-Link XP). If your User ID number is less than 8 digits in length, you will need to add zeros to the front of the number until it is 8 chararacters long. For example, a User ID number of 123456 should be typed in as 00123456. Your initial PIN (password) is your birth date** listed in DAY, MONTH, YEAR order (as DDMMYY, for example, Aug. 4, 1965, should be listed as 040865). If your birth date is not accepted, call the alumni office toll free at 1-877-JMU-ALUM (locally, dial 424-6383). After logging in, you’ll be instructed to change your PIN to a new one of your choosing (it should be at least 6 characters long). Next, click on the Alumni and Friends link in the center of the page, then click on Milli-Link XP Online Alumni Directory.

** Unless you have already been using the MU Online system, or we don't have a birth date for you in our files. In those cases, you should have received separate notification about your PIN.

4. Click on Your Directory Profile.
Check your entry and select the items you would like displayed in the directory (see the back of this card for an example). If you wish to make changes to your information, click on Update Address(es) and Phone(s) | Update E-mail Address(es). Both links are listed at the bottom of the page. Any changes you make through those links “go live” immediately. You’ll also find a link called Update Work & Other Information, a form that allows you to submit job updates, marriage and birth announcements, etc., including class note items for Millikin Quarterly alumni magazine. Information you submit through Update Work & Other Information, including job updates, does not “go live” immediately, but will take approximately one week to process.

If you would prefer that your name NOT appear in Milli-Link XP, please put that request in writing and send it to Milli-Link XP, 1184 West Main St., Decatur, IL 62522 or e-mail it to alumnews@millikin.edu. You will not be listed in the directory, your contact information will be marked confidential and you will not be included in lists gathered for alumni events, such as homecoming class reunions.

5. Next, click on Alumni and Friends in the light blue bar at the top of the web page. Click on Milli-Link XP Online Alumni Directory and Find A Classmate to search for individuals or groups of alumni friends and classmates. You may search by name, major, class year, state, county, student activities and college/school. (Some searches may take up to one minute or longer, depending on the criteria you select. For example, searching for all alumni living in Illinois could take several minutes. Your search will be shortened if you are as specific as possible.)

6. You can also use Milli-Link XP to make a secure donation to the university. Click on Make a Gift for details.
