MORE FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Next week marks the conclusion of the noon luncheon lecture series, "Food for
Thought." This spring's lectures were built around the terrorism topic of this year's T.W.
Samuels lecture (see above at left). On April 24, Jacek

the series with a look at terrorism in a global context. Cost
is $15 and lunch is included.

TAKE
A PEEP PEEK
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of marshmallow Peeps
candies, a faculty Peep show will hang in Perkinson Gallery in
Kirkland Fine Art Center through April 25.
"The only requirement was that Peep candy figure
prominently in the work," said Lyle Salmi, associate professor of art and
assistant gallery director. "An exhibit such as this attests to Peeps as
a consumer product as well as a popular cultural phenomenon."
Pieces range from paintings and ceramics to a poster session
on the chemical effects of micro-waving Peeps. Staley Library
also has a little Peep show of its own (see below at
left).
