ADVENTURE!
We all have or will have an adventure at one time or
another in our lives.
For some, it may be found on the job. Does
your career take you to exotic locales? Do you face danger in the line of
duty? Adventurers can be cruise directors, police officers, extreme sports
enthusiasts, humanitarian volunteers, war
correspondents, horse trainers and more; the list goes on and on.
Even if your career isn’t adventurous, maybe your hobby is. Perhaps you’ve
had the vacation adventure of a lifetime. Or maybe you’ve made a narrow
escape from a dangerous situation.
Take a leap and share your true-life
adventure.
Writers of the top three tales, as selected
by a committee of armchair adventurers, will each win a cash prize to
spend on their own mini-adventure (first prize: $75, second: $50, and
third: $25) and will be featured in the summer 2004 issue of Millikin
Quarterly. All alumni of Millikin University are eligible to
participate. See below for details, and don’t forget to include
photos if you have them!
