The Alumni Board will host a food booth at Fall Family Weekend on campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the arrival court. All proceeds go to a award given to the senior who has done the most to enhance student and alumni relations. Come support the alumni board.

- Join us in congratulating the 2006 Lindsay Medallion recipients, Lance Brooks (basketball and track and field) and Angie Hawk (track and field), both '06. They will be recognized at halftime during the home football game versus Wheaton College.

Sunday, Oct. 22
St. Louis - Join the Millikin Club of St. Louis for a 1 p.m. trivia contest fundraiser at Blueberry Hill, 6504 Delmar Blvd. Teams will be made up of six people. The cost is $25 per person and includes entry fee, hors d'oeuvres and beverages. All proceeds support the Gateway Scholarship for a deserving student from the St. Louis or Metro-east area. Saturday, Nov. 4
Elmhurst, IL - The annual Howard Nyberg football party will be held at the home of Matt Proud '90. This year's event is a pre-game tailgate starting at 11 a.m., preceding the 1 p.m. Big Blue vs. Elmhurst game. Bring a dish or snack to pass.

Saturday, Nov. 11
Decatur - The Millikin CIA host a football chili supper following the 1 p.m. Big Blue vs. Augustana football game. The supper will be held in Richards Treat University Center on campus. Cost is $7.50 per meal and includes chili, hot dogs, hamburgers and salad bar. Children under age 6 eat free.

Albert Taylor Theatre
Renovations to Albert Taylor Theatre are complete! With new lighting, sound and an overall fresh look, the theatre is back in business for Millikin's lectures, meetings and top performances, including several upcoming department of theatre and dance productions.

THEY'RE READY!
Millikin recently concluded its College Readiness Program on a successful note with all 38 graduates reporting that they would be enrolling in a college or university this fall. The four-year federally funded program was aimed to prepare high school students for success in higher education and high school by working on academic skills, social skills, test-taking ability and the college application process. Homecoming 2006 is right around the corner! This year's Homecoming, set to the theme, "The Road to Blue," will be held Oct. 13-15. Several new events should help make this year's Homecoming one of the best ever. If you haven't received it already, a brochure should be hitting your mailboxes in the next few days. Can't wait? C
heck out the Homecoming 2006 website for up-to-date Homecoming information, including this year's alumni award recipients and Millikin Athletic Hall of Fame inductees and a list of who already has made reservations.

Alumni band, 56 Hope Road, will perform at Lock, Stock and Barrel on Saturday night, where the classes of '96 and '01 are holding their reunions. The band is appearing at several Central Illinois cities in the next month. Click here for more information.

A new live play-by-play and statistics feature has been added to the Big Blue football website, which enables fans to view live play-by-play action during each of the Big Blue's home games. To access the new feature, visit Millikin's football website and click the Live Stats link.

WE'RE GOING TO MIAMI.
The University Choir has been selected to sing at the American Choral Director's Association (ACDA) national conference in Miami. The conference, held March 7-10, 2007, will bring over 6,000 choral directors from around the country for three days of workshops and concerts. It is the first time a Millikin choir has received this honor. MORE

UPCOMING GUEST SPEAKERS, WORKSHOPS COME TO CAMPUS.
On Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 2-4 p.m. at the Kirkland Fine Arts Center, the School of Nursing and St. Mary's Hospital will present "Returning to the Heart of Nursing through Caring-Healing Theory in Action," featuring nurse theorist Dr. Jean Watson.

In addition, the department of behavioral sciences was recently designated as a State of Illinois Accredited Continuing Education Program. Millikin will begin a new program of on-going continuing education for Central Illinois providers with its first workshop on Friday, September 22. MORE

OPENING RECEPTION ON CAMPUS
FOR NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED ARTIST.
An opening reception for "The Art of Seymour Fogel: An Atavistic Vision," Oct. 5 from 6-8 p.m. at Kirkland Fine Arts Center. The exhibit includes four dozen works by the nationally recognized artist Seymour Fogel (1911-1984). The reception is free and open to public and will feature comments from the artist's son. The Kirkland exhibit is the first major display of the artist's work since his death more than 20 years ago. MORE

The Millikin CIA (Central Illinois Alumni) pig roast was a huge success! More than 120 people attended the event at the home of Kathy Farleigh Gresham '70 and her husband, Jim, on Sunday, Sept. 10. So far, $2,500 has been raised to establish a scholarship fund for area students attending Millikin. Couldn't attend but would like to make a donation to the scholarship fund? There's still time!
