LIONS OR TIGERS OR BEARS OR ....WHAT?
Should the home of the Big Blue have an official sports mascot? A group of current Millikin students is gathering info and hopes to help the campus decide on a Millikin mascot to go along with the term Big Blue, which originated with Professor Carl Head back in 1916. The student group is led by senior Rickey Spivey from Indianapolis. What do you think? Voice your opinion here.

LIVE AND LEARN.
Miss those school days? Why not learn something new without the stress of working for a grade? More than 30 immersion (accelerated format) courses will be offered by Millikin this January, and many of them are designated as adult enrichment courses designed to be of special interest to community adults. Community adults can enroll in these courses for the reduced fee of $167 per credit hour ($500 for a three-credit course). No credits or grades will be issued. MORE
WHY HAVEN'T YOU WRITTEN?
You know you want to. The English department is producing an issue of Collage, Millikin's literary magazine, that will feature the creative work of Millikin alumni. If you’ve written any poems, fiction, nonfiction or drama, or have visual art you want to share with your fellow alums, the editors would love to see your work. Click here for submission guidelines. The deadline is Oct. 29, and each alum who submits his or her work will receive a free copy of Collage. E-mail questions to Jeremy Davault, Collage's editor-in-chief.
STEP RIGHT UP FOR SOME BIG BLUE TRIVIA.
Above in this issue is a survey seeking your suggestions for a proposed Big Blue mascot. The topic is not a new one to campus and has been raised off and on for many years. On one occasion in 1960, students voted between two possible mascots but ultimately nothing became of the chosen winner, which won by a landslide with 65 percent of the votes.
What was the top vote getter in that 1960 mascot election?
A. A bear
B. A Scottie dog
C. An ox
D. A falcon
