During Seth Goodman’s junior year at Millikin, he obtained his real estate salesperson license and began selling homes full time while still attending school. Since graduating in May 2010 from the Tabor School of Business, Goodman has been a real estate agent in Lincoln and Logan Counties in Illinois through ME Realty. Today, at only 25, he has lots to showcase.
Goodman was chosen by Logan County as the readers choice for Best Realtor through the Lincoln Courier in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Additionally, in 2012, he was named to the National Association of Realtors 30 Under 30 list. The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce also chose him as the 2012 Lincoln Pride & Progress Business of the Year recipient among all Lincoln/Logan County businesses. In 2012, Goodman topped his own Logan County all-time production record from the prior year, totaling over $23 million. He was also named to the Illinois Association of Realtors President's Club in 2011 – a Ruby Award recipient - which is the highest award any agent can receive in the state.
Aside from real estate, Goodman currently serves as president of Main Street Lincoln, which focuses on the revitalization of the historic downtown district. For the past few years, he has also taught Junior Achievement to local grade school students. For fun, Goodman is involved with hot air ballooning. For his 22nd birthday, he purchased a 90,000-cubic-foot hot air balloon and named it ‘Movin' Up!’ For nearly three years, he trained on this balloon and finally received his private pilot’s license in late 2012. In December 2012, his new hot air balloon, 'Done Deal!' was completed (which he was able to custom design) and is now soaring the Logan County skies in all its lime green, white, vivid blue and bright orange 90,000-cubic-foot glory!
