Millikin has received a commitment of $11.5 million in support of the university's "Transform MU" capital campaign through the combined generosity of Trustee Emeritus Doug Oberhelman '75, his wife, Diane, and the Caterpillar Foundation. It is the largest pledge of support in the history of the university. More

Dr. Jay E. Hakes will present the 2011 T.W. Samuels Lecture, “The World We Inherit: Why Energy Matters,” Monday, April 18, 8 p.m. in Kirkland Fine Arts Center.
An energy and policy expert, he recently served as director of policy and research for the 2010-2011 BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Commission. The Commission’s report was described by the Washington Post as the “most comprehensive narrative of what happened … a clear, readable, insightful tale.” The lecture is free and open to the public. The men’s golf team is ranked number 12 in the nation in NCAA Division III in the latest Golfstat.com NCAA head-to-head standings, after finishing second at the Illinois Wesleyan invitational in early April. The tournament featured five teams ranked in the Top 25.
