End zones to be named in honor of former coach.

Members of the 1961 Undefeated Football Team made a surprise announcement at the Homecoming Alumni Awards Dinner. As a team, they have pledged $35,000 to the “Transform MU” capital campaign to name the football field end zones in honor of their beloved coach, Don Shroyer, class of 1951. The “Transform MU” campaign includes new artifical turf and lights for Frank M. Lindsay Field and the 1961 team pledge is a part of that effort.

I wish you had the names of the players in the picture! After 50 years, they don't look the same as they did in 1961!
