Educators and history buffs especially won’t want to miss these events, but all are invited to attend as Millikin welcomes nationally-known educator and social justice advocate Jonathan Kozol and “Flags of Our Fathers” author James Bradley to campus. Kozol will present "The Soul of a Profession: Education Under Siege" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 29. Bradley, the son of one of the six soldiers who raised the flag at Iwo Jima, will speak Tuesday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m.

  • Both events are free, open to the public and held in Kirkland Fine Arts Center. Learn more at http://www.millikin.edu/alumni/events/Pages/LectureSeries.aspx
  • Watch a video of Kozol speaking to a C-SPAN reporter.
