David A. Dickey, 50, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Heartland Health Care Center.
David was born May 7, 1961, in Decatur, the son of Glenn and Edwina (Duncan) Dickey.
He received his BA in Business Administration from Millikin University. He was previously employed as a restaurant manager with Burger King. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, an Eagle Scout, and Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow.
He leaves behind his son, Austin Raycraft of Warrensburg, mother, Edwina Dickey of Decatur, brothers, Duncan Dickey and wife Tamara of Decatur and Dennis Dickey of Collinsville, sister, Jennie Armstrong and husband Lee of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and nine nieces and nephews.
He was reunited in Heaven with father. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Heartland and Harbor Light Hospice for all of their compassionate care.
