Kent Lee Fitzjarrald, 60, went to be with the Lord at 10:17 a.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2012, in St. Mary's Hospital.

Kent was born April 24, 1952, in Tuscola, IL the son of Clair and Georgia Ellen (Reeder) Fitzjarrald. During his childhood, he was raised in Arthur, IL. Kent went on to attend and graduate in 1974 from Illinois Wesleyan University. He obtained a Master's in Finance Degree from the University of Illinois in 1976.

Kent was a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser and was the owner of Fitzjarrald & Associates. He had obtained a MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. He married Ginny Schell on November 18, 1978. Kent also had obtained an MBA in 2008 from Millikin University. He formerly taught at Richland Community College. He was a man of strong Christian faith and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Kent is survived by his wife: Ginny of Decatur, mother: Georgia Ellen of Arthur, IL; son: Justin Fitzjarrald and his wife Elyse of Memphis, TN; daughter: Shannon Fitzjarrald of Alton, IL; grandsons: Ty Leland Row, Patrick Kent Fitzjarrald, Kelton Clair Fitzjarrald and Miles Alan Fitzjarrald.

He is preceded in death by his father.
