Robert C. Wiederin, 84, of Noblesville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Robert was born on January 28, 1929 in Chicago, IL to the late Arthur Joseph and Marie Louise (Abbey) Wiederin.
After high school graduation Robert went on a G.I. Bill post to Japan after WWII during The Occupation. After being honorably discharged, Robert came back to IL and attended Millikin University in Decatur, majoring in Business. There he met his future wife, Arlene Kiemer '51. They later married on June 5, 1952. They resided in Naperville, IL for 28 years.
Robert worked for Illinois Bell for 30 years in Sales & Marketing, and later in Human Resources. He retired in 1982. After retiring, Robert also fulfilled a long-time dream of working in a hardware store. Hence, he joined and worked for Ace Hardware for 6 years before officially retiring. Robert enjoyed golfing; loved to join his family on their vacations twice yearly; gathering every Monday morning with his retirement buddies for breakfast, lasting 17 years; acted as caretaker for his wife in her later years; and loved music.
Robert is survived by his loving daughters: Karen Hineman (Jim) and Amy Hirsch (Tom); grandchildren: Madeline, Kaitlin, and Kelsey Hirsch; and brother Arthur Wiederin (Donna).
Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Wiederin '51.
