Helen Marie Penn Coslow '48, 85, of Lovington died 12:10 a.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011, at her home in Lovington.
Helen was born in Decatur on November 26, 1926, the daughter of Raymond S. and Beatrice (Drake) Penn. She married Herbert H. Coslow July 3, 1954 in Decatur. He preceded her in death January 10, 1998. She was a member of the Lovington Christian Church, Lovington, she was the Secretary of Lovington Christian Church for eighteen years, American Legion Auxiliary #429, Lovington, Lovington Woman’s Club, Moultrie County Republican Women, Moultrie County Retired Teachers, Illinois Retired Teachers Association, Order of the Eastern Star, No. 869 for sixty years, Attended Millikin University, Graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Education, and she previously taught in Washburn and Lovington High School.
She is survived by her daughter, Annette M. Coslow. She was preceded in death by her parents.
