Alice Elaine Peel of Sun City West, AZ (formerly of Racine, WI) was welcomed into heaven on Saturday morning, August 31, 2013.
Alice was a blessing to all. For the past 23 years, Alice dealt with Parkinson’s disease with grace and dignity.
She was born in Decatur, IL on December 17, 1929, daughter of the late Fred and Freida (Saloga) Jendry. Alice was united in marriage to Dean Peel on February 26, 1949. This year they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.
Alice was an accomplished pianist and artist. Her paintings reflected the beauty she saw around her. She loved to play the piano especially while her husband Dean sang. Together they entertained family, friends and neighbors. She loved to golf and play cards particularly bridge and the family game of “May I.” Prior to her illness, she was an active member of her church and hospital volunteer. She was kind, caring, and compassionate. Alice’s laughter, brilliant smile and hugs will be missed by all. Alice’s children were blessed to have the most beautiful, loving and talented mom. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband Dean, their children, Bill (fiancee Ann Fenley) Peel of Racine, WI, Kathleen (Joel) Rosen of Phoenix, AZ, Tom (Sue) Peel, of Libertyville, IL, Sue (Chris) Gorman, of Racine, WI, and Steve (Deanna) Peel, of Racine, WI.
