Margaret Sweney Favor passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the age of 93.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Favor and daughter Judith Ann Favor. Survived by 2 children, Richard S. Favor and Marda Favor Johnson (Gordon), 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A Metairie resident for 65 years. Lifelong active member of Metairie Ridge Presbyterian Church where she held multiple church offices. Member and former president of Metairie Woman's Club. Named Outstanding Woman in 1982. Former board member of East Jefferson General Hospital Auxiliary.
