The Columbus Dispatch (Oh.)

Georgiann K. Martin, 68, of Columbus, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, after a lengthy battle with kidney failure. She was born April 10, 1943, in Murphysboro, Ill., the daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Kirwan) Martin.

She is preceded in death by a brother Michael Martin. She is survived by two children, Mari Newell and Derek (Brianne) Newell; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Grace, Tristin and Alexis; a sister, Kathryn (Dick) Sevier; a brother, Kevin (Liz) Martin.

Georgiann graduated from Millikin University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education.
