Richard"Dick" A. Jones
July 23, 1932 - February 9, 2012
Richard A. "Dick" Jones was born July 23, 1932. Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle as well as a good friend to many people. He was a graduate of Aurora East High School and Millikin University, then served as a Navy jet pilot aboard the USS Lexington. Dick then embarked on a long career in the aggregate and concrete business in the Chicago area, ultimately as vice president of sales for Material Services Corporation. He was active as a business leader, serving several terms as the president of the Illinois Roadbuilders Association, and as a community leader, serving his church, school board, and PTA over the years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Johanette, his son Daniel (Karil) of Northfield, MN, his daughters Lynette (Bill) Alderisio of Delmar, NY, and KC (Dan) Hyer of, Batavia, IL, three grandchildren Katie, Will, and Maggie Alderisio and four nieces Peggy Lamphere, Debi Hix, Linda Kolb, and Janet Hix. He was preceded in death by his mother Gretchen and father Kermit, his sister Marilyn Hix, and his son Jeffry.
