Jeff Mathewson, Jefferson City, Missouri, formerly of Pana, IL, passed away on September 28, 2012, after courageously fighting cancer. He was born on December 16, 1949, in Chicago, IL, the son of Dr. John J. and Patricia L. Mathewson.

Jeff was a graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, received undergraduate training at Millikin University, Decatur, IL. While in Decatur, IL, he was a Quality Control and Research Technician in Food Microbiology at ADM, Inc.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Karen (Waddelow) Mathewson, Jefferson City, formerly of Pana, IL, and son, John Wesley “Wes” Mathewson, Edmond, OK, mother, Patricia L. Mathewson, Mulberry, FL, brother, Craig T. Mathewson & wife Cheri H., Oconee, IL, sister, Susan M. Edwards, Oconee, IL, and sister-in-law, Janice W. Knutson, St. Charles, IL, along with nieces and nephews he thought the world of, and many friends, colleagues, and extended family.

He was preceded by his father, Dr. John J. Mathewson, and his parents-in-law Wayne and Norma Waddelow.
