David A. Williams, 82, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, formerly of Decatur, Illinois and Rochester, New York, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 in his home with his family by his side.
David was born October 26, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Owen Williams and Florence (Eiler) Williams Eakin. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He graduated from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. He was previously employed as an engineer with Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York, retiring after twenty-five years of service. He was a member of the IEEE, an engineering organization.
He enjoyed flying, art glass, Native American artifacts, and anything that had to do with the computer. He married Helen Lozier November 24, 1961.
He leaves behind his wife Helen; son Erik Alan Williams; daughter Lori Ann (Williams) Preuss; and grandchildren Zachary, Ethan, and Emma Preuss. He was preceded in death by his parents.
