Charles W. Frye M.D. entered into the kingdom Christ prepared for him on November 20, 2010. Charlie was born in Decatur, IL., on October 30, 1928 to John and Opal Frye. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by loving wife of 57 years, Djina (Champion) Frye and sister, Janet Westenhaver (Keith). He is survived by four sons, Randall (Ronda), David (Hilary), Stephen (Julie), and Thomas (Lisa). He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Hannah, John, Jesse, Greta, Michael, Genevieve, and Charles, who will cherish many memories of their awesome grandfather.

He was a compassionate and skilled physician. This was recognized by patients and peers alike. He served as Chief of Staff for Midway Hospital, President of the Ramsey County Medical Society, and a Clinical Assistant Professor for the U of M College of Radiology for 27 years. He was made a Fellow of the American College of Radiology in 1984.

Charlie was a dedicated servant of Christ and His Church. He was an avid fisherman, sharing many an adventure with his fishing buddies. He loved his time with friends at Wednesday morning coffee. He was gifted with his hands, had command of a wide variety of topics and a clever wit. Most of all, people remember his humble and unassuming nature.
