Art Major

Students may choose the B.F.A. degree, which requires 60 to 70 credits in Art or the B.A. degree requiring 33 to 36 credits in Art. A student seeking the B.A. degree must complete a minimum of 9 additional credits in studio electives. If the B.F.A. degreee is elected, a minimum of 36 more credits in studio electives must be completed. In addition, B.F.A. candidates must present a one-person show in their senior year and demonstrate competency in two separate studio disciplines. (Candidates must complete a minumum of four courses in one studio area and a minumum of three courses in a second studio.) The areas available for concentration are: Ceramics, Graphic Design, Figure Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture.
