Patrick Allgeier wrapped up his fifth season as offensive coordinator, his 11th as offensive line coach and his fourth as assistant head coach in 2007. He served as the Coordinator of Academic Support for one year in 2005. In addition to his football duties, Allgeier also serves as the Assistant Athletic Director.
A former All-North Coast Athletic Conference offensive tackle, the Cincinnati native earned three letters for Wittenberg before graduating in 1993. He served as assistant offensive line coach at Wittenberg for two seasons.
Allgeier and his wife, Peg, live in Decatur with their 5-year old twin daughters.
ANDY BEALS
Kickers and Punters
Andy Beals returned to the Big Blue for his first season in 2007 to coach the kickers and punters. One of the most successful kickers in Millikin history, Beals rewrote the Big Blue and CCIW record books during his career and still holds Millikin marks for career points (277), career kicking points (277), season kicking points (80), consecutive points after touchdowns (31), career field goals (38) and season field goals (13). His CCIW records for career kicking points (188), career field goals (31), season kicking points (59) and single-game kicking points (17) also still stand. Beals was also honored as Millikin’s Lindsay Medallion Award winner in 2004.
A four-year football letter winner, Beals was a three-time first-team All-CCIW selection, was named an Academic All-District selection three times and earned first-team Academic All-America honors as a senior. He earned three All-America kicking honors in his career, two as a senior and one during his junior year. Beals also earned three letters as a record-holder for the Big Blue baseball team.
Beals earned a degree in Business from Millikin in 2003 and completed a Masters of Business Administration from Millikin in 2007. Since graduating, he has served as an Operations Supervisor, Human Resources Representative and Supply Chain Supervisor for Caterpillar in Decatur.

Ken Czajkowski wrapped up his 11th season as part of the Big Blue coaching staff in 2007. He has coached the Big Blue running backs, tight ends and offensive line. In 2005 he moved over to coach the defensive line.
Czajkowski teaches physical education at Sangamon Valley High School. A 1992 graduate of Eureka College, he played on the Red Devils football team from 1988-91. He was an offensive line coach at Eureka from 1992-96, served as a baseball coach (1995-96) and administrative assistant for the basketball program (1995-96) at Eureka.
Czajkowsi and his wife, Tracy, live in Decatur with their daughter.

A former Big Blue player and student assistant during his undergraduate days, Etherton returned to Millikin in 2004 following positions at some of the top football colleges in the country. In 2007 he begins his fourth season coaching the Big Blue linebackers. He has also been th team’s Co-Defensive Coordinator since 2006. Millikin's Head Men's Golf Coach, he has also added the title of Head Junior Varsity Coach in 2006 and has served as the football team's Recruiting Coordinator since 2005. Prior to coming to Millikin, his most recent coaching position was as Division III Washington & Jefferson's Special Teams Coordinator, defensive backs coach and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. He has also served as the Offensive Coordinator at Division III University of Puget Sound, was the defensive backs coach at Division III Allegheny College and was a student assistant for the offensive line and linebackers at Millikin from 1998-00. He wore a Big Blue uniform as a defensive back for Millikin from 1996-98.

A long-time high school coach, Dennis Gatchel was back on the Big Blue sidelines for the fourth season in 2007 after a 6-year stint as the head coach at Meridian High School. He has coached the wide receivers (2004), running backs (2005), outside linebackers (2006) and in 2007 moved over to coach the cornerbacks. Gatchel previously served the Millikin team from 1990-94. He has also been the head coach at Macon and Breese Central High Schools. Gatchel was the Decatur Herald & Review Area Coach of the Year in 1986 (Macon) and 1999 (Meridian), coaching both teams to 2nd place IHSA State finishes.
Gatchel and his wife, Mary Kay, live in Decatur and their daughter, Cara, is a graduate of Millikin.

A familiar face returned to the Big Blue sidelines in 2006 as Chris Krich rejoined the staff. A defensive backs and wide receivers coach at Millikin from 1998-00, Krich returned and has served as the Co-Defensive Coordinator since 2006. In addition to his Defensive Coordinator duties, Krich also coaches the defensive backs and serves as the football program’s Coordinator of Academic Support.
Between stints with the Big Blue, Krich served as the Assistant Head Coach at Lakeland College (Wis.) for the 2003-05 seasons following a position as a Defensive Graduate Assistant at Fort Hays State (Kas.) in 2002. As the Assistant Head Coach at Lakeland, he served in various capacities including Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator. In just three seasons at Lakeland, Krich coached three All-American defensive players and 24 All-Conference defensive players. In 2005, his defensive teams were nationally-ranked as high as No. 14 in total defense and No. 15 in rushing defense.
A four-year letter winner at Mesa State College (Colo.) as a free safety, Krich earned All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honors as a senior in 1997. He received his bachelor’s degree from Mesa State in Human Performance & Wellness and earned a master’s degree from Fort Hays State in Health, Physical Education and Recreation.

Veteran assistant coach Mike Poe returned to the sidelines for the Big Blue in 2006 after coaching local high school teams for three seasons. Poe coached the running backs for the 11th season in 2007 after previously coaching the group from 1993-02. He has also coached the wide receivers, kickers, offensive and defensive line during his tenure with the Big Blue.
Before joining Millikin's staff in 1983, Poe coached high school football for several years, winning a league title in 1980 at Niantic-Harristown. The 1974 Millikin graduate begins his 25th year as the Big Blue's head wrestling coach in 2007-08 and began his career on the football staff at Cape Central H.S. in Cape Girardeau (Mo.). He is also a member of Millikin’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
Poe and his wife, Candy, have three children.
CHRIS WILLIAMS
Assistant Offensive Line
Chris Williams joined the Big Blue staff for the first season in 2007. A four-year letter winner at defensive tackle, he had a solid career for the Big Blue that included back-to-back second-team All-CCIW honors in 2005 and 2006. As a senior, he was also named honorable mention All-America from the Football Gazette and second-team all-region from both d3football.com and the Football Gazette. He also served as a team captain in 2006. Williams will graduate from Millikin in December 2007 with a degree in Political Science.

Rich Worsell wrapped up his third season as a part of the Big Blue coaching staff in 2007, again leading the offense as the Passing Game Coordinator. He previously spent two years coaching the receivers at Lakeland College (Wis.) where he coached three All-Conference performers and the IBFC Receiver of the Year. In his two years at Lakeland, the Muskies led the IBFC in scoring offense and yards per game, averaging 39 points per game scoring. He also served as Lakeland's head track coach in 2005.
Worsell is a 2003 graduate of Aberystwyth University during which time he served as the head coach for three years, in addition to being the Great Britain Bulldogs offensive line coach. In 2003 he was the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Sussex Thunder, producing the No. 2 passing game in the UK, along with the nation’s leading receiver. At Aberystwyth he coordinated the No. 1 rushing attack in the UK. He also served as the Assistant Coach at the London O's in 2002 during their 13-0 National Championship season. Worsell holds a Masters of Business Administration from Lakeland.
In addition to his football duties, Worsell also joined the Millikin Admission staff in Summer 2006.
