Head coach Patrick Etherton and the Big Blue men’s golf team are primed for a run toward another CCIW Championship in 2007-08 as Etherton welcomes the best recruiting class of his three-year career. The most successful program in Millikin’s Athletics, the men’s golf squad has won a Millikin record 18 conference titles since the league’s inception in 1948. In 2006-07, the Big Blue finished tied for fourth overall with two players finishing in the Top 20 and all five of Millikin’s scorers posting Top 25 finishes. The Big Blue will lose seven graduating seniors, but welcome back plenty of talent in its returning players including Sam Osborne, Dustin Clark, Tim Leonard and Kyle Wilcutt. Combined with the strength of the incoming freshman class, the Big Blue plans to cause trouble for opposing teams in 2007-08. |
