"We checked in last week and have been practicing hard to prepare for our upcoming season.  Today, instead of our usual double practice, we decided to just practice once and spend the remaining two hours helping with the “Clean up Decatur” project by picking up litter along Route 36 on the East side of  town."

As we get to know each other, we’d like you to meet the Big Blue Volleyball Players off the court:

Rachel Cook, Senior, Middle Blocker

Major: Communications with a Business Management minor

Professional Interests: She would love to work at ESPN post graduation. 

Off the Court: Student Activity Fee Committee, Vice President - Millikin Communication Association, Reporter for Decaturian, and News Director for WJMU

Internship(s): 95Q ESPN Radio and WAND-TV

Favorites:  “It’s a Wonderful Life”, Peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches, Sports Center, and Peyton Manning.

Other Notables:  Rachel has been selected to speak at the Opening Convocation this Fall. She lifeguarded last  summer and had some saves, has volunteered as a tutor at Homework Hangout, and is very hard to embarrass as she is self proclaimed at “having no shame."

Jenny McMillen, Senior, Right Side Hitter

Major: Business Management Major

Professional Interests: She aspires to be an event coordinator. Currently she works for the Sports Information Office at Millikin.

Favorites :  Ice cream, “Failure to Launch”, and “Grey’s Anatomy.

Off the Court:  She has served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Other Notables:  Jenny most admires her mom.  She is one of eleven children in her family and has alot of cousins.  Her grandparents own Oak Terrace Resort and Spa where she spends time working for them in the summer.
