Coach's Corner
This past weekend was a very special one for the Women’s Basketball program. Each year, the team volunteers at the Special Olympics Basketball Skills Challenge held in Griswold Center. This year, more than 30 Special Olympic athletes traveled through the snow and cold to participate. What a wonderful way to warm our hearts, helping make this a “championship day” for the Special Olympics athletes….our heroes.
The event started with the Special Olympic creed, a great lesson in the spirit of competition:
"PLEASE HELP ME WIN, BUT IF I CAN NOT, LET ME BE BRAVE IN THE ATTEMPT"
"PLEASE HELP ME WIN, BUT IF I CAN NOT, LET ME BE BRA VE
I N THE ATTEMPT"
