Coach's Corner

Wow!!  Mother Nature wreaked havoc on central Illinois, including Decatur and Millikin University on Thursday evening.  An ice storm caused significant power outages all over the area.

Much of central Illinois, including Millikin University was closed on Friday, and our JV and Varsity WBB scheduled for Saturday at Maryville University were postponed.  The games have been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 20th at Maryville University.

This week the team travels to McKendree College (Lebanon, IL) for a JV and Varsity double header on Tuesday.  The JV team has a home contest against Danville Area Community College on Wednesday, December 6 .  Both JV and Varsity squads return to action this weekend at the Tri-Conference tournament featuring Millikin University (CCIW), Fontbonne University (SLIAC) and Illinois College (MWC).  The rotating tournament was held last year at Illinois College in Jacksonville, this year at Fontbonne University in St. Louis, and will be held at Millikin University during the 2007-08 season.  One of the great benefits of this tournament is that all three teams have JV programs; so that each varsity contest is preceded by JV games featuring the same institutions.

A busy week of basketball for Millikin University to be sure:  3 Varsity games and 4 JV games!  What a great opportunity to get better!!
