Rachel Smith, a native of Shelbyville, graduated from Illinois College in May 2007 with a degree in Sports Management. No stranger to coaching, Smith has experience at both the junior high and high school levels and has volunteered at summer camps and Special Olympics events. Since her college graduation, Smith has served as a Camp Counselor for the Decatur Park District.

A member of the Illinois College volleyball team, Smith was four-year letter winner and served as a team captain as a senior in 2006. In 2006, she was also a second-team All-Midwest Conference player as a right side hitter. As a high school player, Smith was a four-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, softball and track.

Smith also serves as the Assistant Softball Coach.

Tony Holly wrapped up his first season with the Big Blue in 2007. He previously served as the coach of the 18’s for Decatur’s Eastside Volleyball Club in 2005-06.

Holly has had considerable experience with both high school and club-level teams, coaching at Streator, Olympia and Normal University high schools. His experience at the club level comes from positions with the Bloomington Midwest Phoenix, Bloomington Quack Attack.

A three-year member of Illinois State’s men’s volleyball team, Holly earned his degree in Criminal Justice from ISU in 1996. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration degree at Millikin.
