Athletic Training Facilities
The Progression Over Time
When
the AT Program was founded in 1989, the AT facility was meager in
its space and equipment. The taping table was constructed using
sheets of plywood painted with splashes of royal blue and
white. It was propped up onto cement cinder blocks to be at
an appropriate and comfortable taping height. The four
treatment tables were "home grown" from the creative
minds and hands of the AT staff. Cabinets were constructed
and placed anywhere there was room. The treatment area fills
this space todayy.
Upon entering, the ATC's office door was
immediately ahead and a quick left through the small hallway led into the actual training room. Today, the space
is all open and houses the student work area and part of the
treatment area.

After eliminating offices and tearing down
walls, the AT facility was expanded and a separate taping and
first aid room was obtained.
