How to Apply

- Millikin students must complete immersion paperwork as listed on this page
- All prospective participants may apply using the Bella Musica online application.
- Audition: Everyone applying for Bella Musica must audition. A personal audition is preferred, although video or audio recordings will be accepted. For classical musicians, two contrasting works or movements from the standard repertoire for your instrument are required. Jazz students should demonstrate their jazz improvisational abilities in two contrasting styles (e.g. ballad and swing, swing and Latin, Latin and ballad, etc.)
- A letter of recommendation from your current teacher is also required.

BELLA MUSICA SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Applicants must:
- 1. Submit audition materials and/or audition in person
- a) Bella Musica BAROQUE auditions 6pm Monday January 29th at Millikin University, contact mleese@millikin
for details.
- 2. Submit a 2-page (double-spaced) paper explaining how the award of a scholarship to Italy would benefit
them in the following areas:
- a) Financial need, can include a letter from parents/guardian if appropriate
- b) Musical growth
- c) Language/Cultural experience
- 3. Submit a letter of recommendation, preferably from their Millikin applied instrumental or voice
faculty, or any other music teacher.
