Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) and the American Red Cross will host a blood drive Friday, Nov. 12, from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. The drive will be held on the lower level of Millikin’s Richards Treat University Center (RTUC). According to an announcement on Millikin’s website, those wishing to donate must be in good health, be at least seventeen years old, and weigh at least 110 pounds. Tickets to Millikin’s annual holiday concert, Vespers, will go on sale at 10:00 am on Monday, November 1. Vespers will include performances by Millikin student and faculty instrumentalists, individual Millikin choirs, and the Millikin Union of Choirs, a combined group that features all Millikin choirs performing together. Tickets for Vespers will cost $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets will be available at the Kirkland box office, which is open Monday-Friday from 10 am to 5 pm.

Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society will host “Poe in the Cemetery” on Wednesday, Oct 27. The event will feature readings of some of Edgar Allen Poe’s creepiest tales and poems in Calvary Cemetery, located immediately north of campus. The event is free and is open to all Millikin students. Get into the Halloween spirit by listening to Poe’s tales of illness, murder, and bizarre scientific experiments gone.
